Brief Description:

Dr. Wu, Professor, is the former Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and former Director of Sports Medicine at Taipei Medical University Hospital and Taipei Medical University. He received his M.D. from the National Defense Medical University and a master’s degree in engineering from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and he completed his fellowship in sports medicine and biomedical engineering at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), affiliated with Harvard Medical School (HMS). In 2010, Dr. Wu was honored with the Travel Award by the Orthopedic Research Society and the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation in the USA. In 2014, he served as a visiting scholar through the APKASS–ESSKA intercontinental exchange program in sports traumatology, knee surgery, and arthroscopy. Currently, Dr. Wu is a professor in the department of Orthopedic Surgery at the TMU and its affiliated hospital and council member of the Taiwan Arthroscopy and Knee Society. His clinical interests include knee and shoulder arthroscopy, computer-assisted knee preservation surgery, and joint reconstruction. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Convergent Bioscience and Technology Institute (CBATI), Indiana University, USA.
